The whole concept of an ‘Eco School’ will be embedded within the ethos of Meadow Lane. It covers environmental and ecological issues as well as teaching children ways of keeping themselves and others healthy.
We encourage the children to:
- Have a natural curiosity and awareness of the environment.
- Develop their knowledge, values and skills to participate in decisions about the way they do things individually and collectively, both locally and globally. This will improve the quality of life now without damaging the planet for the future.
- Develop positive and responsible attitudes towards our environment and towards others; making children aware of the link between their own actions and behaviour, and it’s affect on the environment.
- Examine the environment through all subjects and to further their understanding through research and investigations.
Our Eco Warriors have been working hard to bring the whole school on board!
